Moyes Out ( Released )
Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore.
I'm fed up, we can do much better

Moyes is a busted flush . As any club or country that employs him will soon realise. But the clubs biggest issue is Sullivan the rot was allowed to start at the top . simply because he's too cowardly to make a decision in case it upsets the media . DM should have gone on June 9th 2023 . The day after the trophy parade .

Yeah. That's the sad thing about it. If Moyes had not been entrenched in his own power struggle and not scared to death of anything innovative or different then, you are dead right, he could've been our manager for a decade at least.

But he is obviously an instinctively defensive person. You only have to watch his pressers and interviews to see that. Constantly sniping at any criticism and always drawing attention back to anything he has done well.

He has narcissistic traits. Not very conducive to how modern football works and the way that recruitment has to be a collaborative effort.

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
I can remember reading an article when Moyes was Everton manager saying they had a restricted access room at the training ground with every player listed with estimates as to how long they'd last with a changing schedule of replacements and targets next to each

I guess at West Ham he changed to a whiteboard with
HARRY MAGUIRE written on it in 2ft tall red letters

That’s pretty rich coming from a hairy weasel who was shagging his daughters friend whilst his wife was undergoing treatment for cancer.

I know who I wouldn’t want in the trenches.

made. I would post that to Sullivan. Because by the looks of it. He wants to run the club like it’s still the 60’s and 70’s.!

I never wanted Moyes in first or second time so am happy he is out.

I don't feel sorry for him as he can see whats happening around him with other clubs etc. But the people he held a light to like Fergusson etc wouldn't be as successful today if they didn't innovate and use their team properly.

I know someone who worked at Man City scouting network and I was blown away by the way they scouted and the data points that were checked and the way it went through to the very top, only when needed.

There is no way Pep can do the job of over 300 people with their feet on the ground watching games. although he did set the data points for certain characteristics and speak to those scouts when they found the points had been hit and questioned them why etc.

If Moyes had moved with the times then he could have actually been a long term manager at West ham and controlled all of those parts of the club and transitioned us into something. Instead he still wanted to manage like they did in the 90's and 00's.

The game is too large now to do things in those same small minded ways.

Spot on mate. It is all about maintaining the status quo.

Alot of the media and other supporter backlash is purely based on the "Who do you think you are?" syndrome.

They are allowed to demand better for their club but little old West Ham are not.

Indeed he has.

If he was asked that and he answered it honestly, it would probably be for that model to work the manager has to relinquish responsibility for transfers to let the Tech Director with his scouting team do the recruitment.

Emperor Moyes is a dictator and so that model is completely against his natural instinct and need for full control and power.

Bang on the money.
Before the World Cup would’ve been the perfect time.
We’ve been shit since that failed Jan window when he wouldn’t buy a striker.
Good riddance

Moyes has previously pinpointed Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig as exciting, sustainable templates to follow regarding football structure and development.

I would really love for someone to ask Moyes why he's now so against all that.

None of that comes as a surprise but actually worse than I imagined... three players lined up and all vetoed by Moyes. Good riddance!

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
Oh also he said that Moyes has caused friction and unnecessary bad feeling by refusing to collaborate properly with Tim Steidten. The club wanted to move forward with the Coach and Tech Director model for a while but Moyes was rooted in his style of overall management.

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
Kaveh summed it up well yesterday on SSN when asked why West Ham are moving on from Moyes.

His first response was one word. Results.

He went on to say how bad our 2024 has been (3 wins in 25 games). How if the league table was based on 2024 we would be 4th from bottom. How this season we have conceded 70 goals (4 plus in 7 matches) and this is all running parallel to not actually playing attractive and entertaining football.

So he said the club are probably now asking themselves ,like the fans have all season, what is the pay off?

Not winning games, getting routed, watching negative football. There's no positive. He said the fans could forgive a more pragmatic style when results were coming. But now they aren't. He said many supporters and now the club believe this season the results, playing style and quality of squad has regressed.

He also said recruitment has been a mess and mentioned the two Jan windows prior to Europa League knock outs where we bought nobody. He also said that he knows for a fact that in this Jan window the club had three deals lined up and ready to go with players agreeing terms - But Moyes vetoed the moves and demanded Phillips only.

It was actually quite damning.

Off all the pundits and ex pros, the one that was most spasticated was Ferdinand.

In the space of a few days in the same newspaper he had said;

‘Disgruntled West Ham fans are ridiculous for waiting Moyes out and they should be careful what we wish for. What are you really expecting?’

‘Moyes had us fearing opponents at Manchester United. We’d gone from other teams fearing us to spending a lot of our training time preparing on how to stop other teams’

Quite possibly the thickest of thick pundits. We’re not expecting Manchester United level success, but that doesn’t mean we have to settle for shit football.

If we hadn’t been made loads of promises about going to the next level to move grounds our expectations wouldn’t be so high. 62,000 people don’t go to watch the opposition play football and us sit in a low block.

For a manager who boasts about his defensive teams, then to have conceded 70 goals this season with our goal keeper having at least 10 MOTM performances and still have Man City to play. He sold Fornals, Benrhama & Thilo in Jan and didn-t replace them, three players that were vital in Europe for us and are much better players than we have on the bench now!!
We were nearly relegated last season with Rice. Yes the Conference league whilst brilliant to win, we played one good team in that whole campaign and that was in the final, where they were far better than us, we did a smash & grab job on that night for sure!!.... We are also 17th in the form table since January, which would find most managers out of a job!!....

Moyes was offered a contract and the contract probably said going forward you must do the following:
●Use youth players
●use the whole squad. At least 17 of them
●no more than 5 defenders on the pitch EVER
●buy a striker this time that actually suits the way you play
● stop letting players you dont like rot on the bench and losing value
●stop sitting back and defending against 95% of teams
● stop playing defenders up front to save the game
●stop giving the opposition so much respect
● and if you cant do any of these points at least use youth players

He read this contract and said il be. Damned if im doing that.
Tim said ok.
And showed him the door
The end.

Richard Keys says Tim Steidten is a ‘sneaky weasel’ and says the club have shown no class towards David Moyes

"You wouldn’t want Tim Steidten with you in the trenches. Sneaky weasel. West Ham’s management win Classless Act of the season again. A shame because it’s a great club."

Class, Richard Keys do fuck off .
